This Mother’s Day, Let’s Retire the Bucket for Good
Upgrading the Quality of Life for the Matriarchs Who Built Our Nation
For decades, the mothers and grandmothers of Zimbabwe have carried a physical burden that often goes unseen—the daily trek to fetch water. At Nakiso Borehole Drilling, we believe that **Heritage Infrastructure** is about more than just drilling; it’s about restoring dignity. She carried you for 9 months and water buckets for 20 years. It’s time she just turns on a tap.

End the Era of the Water Bucket
In many Zimbabwean households, the matriarch remains the primary manager of water. This Mother's Day, we invite you to look at the physical toll of that responsibility.
Retiring the Heavy Load
A 20-litre bucket of water weighs 20kg. Carrying that weight multiple times a day for decades is an industrial-level labor. By investing in a Nakiso Solar Borehole, you are removing that physical strain and giving Mom the gift of time and health.
Solar Pumping: Modern Care for Mom
Our solar-powered water systems are designed for simplicity and reliability. We ensure that your mother never has to worry about ZESA load shedding or the cost of electricity just to have a bath or water her garden.
Submersible DC pumps that run entirely on Zimbabwe’s abundant sunlight. Zero running costs and zero dependence on the grid.
High-level tank sensors and automated control boxes. The system fills the tank automatically—she just turns on the tap.
What is Heritage Infrastructure?
At the Nakiso Group, we define Heritage Infrastructure as any property improvement that serves as a multi-generational legacy.
A high-yield borehole with Class 10 casing is a permanent asset that increases the value of the family home forever.
Clean water allows Mom to maintain her garden, grow her own produce, and keep a flourishing, healthy household environment.

Fact 1: Know Your Borehole Casings
The Preferred Borehole Casing In Zimbabwe Is Class 9 and 10 (Pressure Classes.)
This is because Class 9 and Class 10 Casings are more collapse resistant. The strength of a Casing is often described as collapse resistance.
Fact 2: Borehole Drilling Depth
The exact depth, of where the water is located, cannot be established by the drilling contractor nor the Water Surveyor (Borehole Siter).
Fact 3: There Is No 100% Guarantee
It is important to note that it is never a 100% guarantee that any hole will yield water, the amount and water quality can also not be guaranteed by the drilling contractor and water surveyor.
Fact 4: Siting Is Important
Making use of a hydrologist or traditional water diviner will increase your chances of having a successful borehole that will yield a sufficient amount of water.
Fact 5: Know The Risks
The risk of the borehole drilling lies with the property owner. The client will still be liable for the drilling costs irrespective of a borehole yielding water or not.
