Transforming Lives, One Borehole at a Time

The persistent issue of water scarcity has plagued many rural communities, particularly during the dry season. Boreholes—deep wells drilled into the earth to access groundwater—are providing a lifeline. By tapping into underground water sources, boreholes offer a reliable and sustainable solution to the crisis.

The Far-Reaching Impact

Improved Health

Access to clean water significantly lowers the risk of waterborne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and dysentery. Furthermore, boreholes enable communities to maintain proper sanitation practices.

Boosted Agriculture

A reliable water supply allows farmers to irrigate their crops even during dry spells. This leads to increased crop yields and ensures food security for families and communities.

Empowered Communities

Women and children, who traditionally bear the burden of fetching water, can now spend more time on education and income-generating activities. This fosters economic growth in rural areas.

Fact 1: Know Your Borehole Casings

The Preferred Borehole Casing In Zimbabwe Is Class 9 and 10 (Pressure Classes.)

This is because Class 9 and Class 10 Casings are more collapse resistant. The strength of a Casing is often described as collapse resistance.

Fact 2: Borehole Drilling Depth

The exact depth, of where the water is located, cannot be established by the drilling contractor nor the Water Surveyor (Borehole Siter).

Fact 3: There Is No 100% Guarantee

It is important to note that it is never a 100% guarantee that any hole will yield water, the amount and water quality can also not be guaranteed by the drilling contractor and water surveyor.

Fact 4: Siting Is Important
Fact 5: Know The Risks
