Your Solution for Collapsed Boreholes

Are you tired of dealing with a collapsed borehole? 60% of our clients come to us after their previous borehole has failed. At Nakiso Borehole Drilling, we understand the frustration and inconvenience this can cause. That's why we're committed to providing reliable and long-lasting solutions.

Why Do Boreholes Collapse?

Many factors can contribute to borehole collapse. Some of the most common include:

  • Poor construction: Using low-quality materials or improper drilling techniques can lead to weak structures.
  • Soil erosion: Over time, soil can erode around the borehole, causing it to become unstable.
  • Groundwater fluctuations: Changes in water levels can put stress on the borehole's structure.

The Importance of Steel and Double Casing

To prevent borehole collapse, we recommend using steel casings and double casing with a diameter of 180mm. Steel is a much stronger material than PVC, making it more resistant to the pressures of underground water. Double casing provides extra support and protection, reducing the risk of collapse.

Fact 1: Know Your Borehole Casings

The Preferred Borehole Casing In Zimbabwe Is Class 9 and 10 (Pressure Classes.)

This is because Class 9 and Class 10 Casings are more collapse resistant. The strength of a Casing is often described as collapse resistance.

Fact 2: Borehole Drilling Depth

The exact depth, of where the water is located, cannot be established by the drilling contractor nor the Water Surveyor (Borehole Siter).

Fact 3: There Is No 100% Guarantee

It is important to note that it is never a 100% guarantee that any hole will yield water, the amount and water quality can also not be guaranteed by the drilling contractor and water surveyor.

Fact 4: Siting Is Important
Fact 5: Know The Risks
