Not All Boreholes Are Created Equal: A Guide to Quality and Sustainability with Nakiso Borehole Drilling

In Zimbabwe, access to clean water is a fundamental need. Boreholes are a critical solution, providing a reliable source of water for homes, farms, and communities.

However, simply drilling a hole in the ground isn't enough. At Nakiso Borehole Drilling, an award-winning company with a reputation for excellence, we understand that a borehole is just not a borehole.

Here's why quality matters when drilling a borehole, and the key considerations to ensure you get a reliable and long-lasting water source:

Stage 1: Borehole Siting - Finding the Right Spot Makes All the Difference

Imagine investing in a borehole, only to discover minimal water yield or poor water quality. Proper borehole siting eliminates this risk. Our team utilizes advanced PQWT machines to conduct a comprehensive water table survey

This isn't just about finding water; it's about locating the optimal location for a high-yielding, sustainable borehole. The PQWT Machine generates a detailed report with a graph, providing a clear picture of the water table depth and potential yield in your specific location.

Stage 2: Borehole Drilling and Casing - Building a Strong Foundation for Long-Term Water Access

Once the ideal location is identified, the drilling begins. Here too, quality matters. At Nakiso Borehole Drilling, we recommend using DripTech and Proplastic casings, specifically Class 9 or 10. These superior casings offer several advantages:
  1. Strength and Durability: Class 9 and 10 casings are built to withstand the harshest conditions, ensuring your borehole lasts for decades.
  2. Improved Water Quality: High-quality casings prevent contamination from surface runoff or other external factors, safeguarding your clean water source.
  3. Sustainable Practices: Nakiso prioritizes sustainable borehole drilling. Our casings are built to last, minimizing the need for future replacements and reducing environmental impact.

Fact 1: Know Your Borehole Casings

The Preferred Borehole Casing In Zimbabwe Is Class 9 and 10 (Pressure Classes.)

This is because Class 9 and Class 10 Casings are more collapse resistant. The strength of a Casing is often described as collapse resistance.

Fact 2: Borehole Drilling Depth

The exact depth, of where the water is located, cannot be established by the drilling contractor nor the Water Surveyor (Borehole Siter).

Fact 3: There Is No 100% Guarantee

It is important to note that it is never a 100% guarantee that any hole will yield water, the amount and water quality can also not be guaranteed by the drilling contractor and water surveyor.

Fact 4: Siting Is Important
