Nakiso Borehole Drilling Joins The Rest Of The World In The Campaign To End Gender Based Violence - 25 November To December 10, 16 Days Of Activism Against Gender Based Violence.

Eradicating gender-based violence has never been more crucial, the 16 Days of Activism global campaign has existed for over three decades in the name of bringing the horrid phenomenon to an end.

Gender-based violence (GBV) can take many forms, from physical to mental, and has long-lasting negative impacts on women's and girls’ well-being that prevent them from reaching their full potential. From November 25 up to 10 December,  individuals, civil society, grassroots organizations,  agencies, and governments join together to demand accountability for the protection of women and girls over two weeks.

Women and girls play key roles in their families, communities, and countries, and yet they are often severely disadvantaged, economically, socially, and politically. Nakiso Borehole Drilling works to empower women and girls economically, reduce their burdens and make sure their rights are not violated.  Women are the primary caretakers in normal households in Zimbabwe and the rest of the world.

They are also the primary users of domestic water as part of their key role in sanitation, preparing food, washing dishes, doing laundry, and caring for vegetable gardens. It is the right of every woman to have clean safe water for drinking. Men have to support women so that they get all that they want in a good manner that does not involve violence.

Women play a critical role in sustainable development. When they are educated and healthy, their families, communities, and countries benefit. Yet Gender-based violence undermines opportunities for women and denies them the ability to fully utilize their basic human rights. Let us make sure we protect our women against any form of Gender Based Violence This Year.

Fact 1: Know Your Borehole Casings

The Preferred Borehole Casing In Zimbabwe Is Class 9 and 10 (Pressure Classes.)

This is because Class 9 and Class 10 Casings are more collapse resistant. The strength of a Casing is often described as collapse resistance.

Fact 2: Borehole Drilling Depth

The exact depth, of where the water is located, cannot be established by the drilling contractor nor the Water Surveyor (Borehole Siter).

Fact 3: There Is No 100% Guarantee

It is important to note that it is never a 100% guarantee that any hole will yield water, the amount and water quality can also not be guaranteed by the drilling contractor and water surveyor.

Fact 4: Siting Is Important
Fact 5: Know The Risks
